Technopark Receives ISO
Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram, has been certified under Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2004) and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001:2007) for Design, Development, Marketing Services and Overall Maintenance of Infrastructure facilities for IT/ITES companies. The certification was carried out by the leading technical inspectorate, T S South Asia.It is the only IT park in Kerala to receive this certification. ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 is a creditable achievement in Technopark.
ISO 14001:2004 is a standard required for meeting Pollution Control Board (PCB) regulations. It enhances sustainable growth by preventing pollution. OHSAS 18001:2007 maintained by Technopark enhances efficient security system, fire safety system, traffic regulation system for betterment of employee safety inside the campus.
Commenting on the achievement, Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark says, We are very delighted having received the certification. This speaks about Technoparks responsibility in ensuring a clean and green work environment. He further added, At Technopolis, e-waste management is being practiced to ensure a pollution free campus. Additionally, the OHSAS certification will enable Technopark to take control of any occupational health hazards and offer security to the employees. I find the team’s commitment commendable in converting Kerala IT’s philosophies into action.
